We sing with a Zing!

Maggie Rice Paphos Zingers Events Coordinator

Born in Famagusta in the 50’s when Cyprus was still a British colony. Naturally I grew up bilingual and at age 16 my parents sent me to boarding school in London to continue my education.

My career in the travel industry spanned 40 years and took me to 68 countries around the World, negotiating hotel prices on behalf of Tour Operators and Airline companies such as British Airways and Thomas Cook.

My husband Tim and I lived in and around London for most of our married life except for a year spent in France and 3 years in Egypt. We moved permanently to Cyprus in 2015.

I still enjoy travelling and take trips abroad as often as I can. My bucket list still has 28 destinations to be explored in the future!

I joined CPSG as a volunteer counsellor shortly after my retirement but COVID restrictions prevented volunteers from visiting cancer patients so I was very pleased to be invited to take up the role of Events Coordinator for the Paphos Zingers. This role suits me perfectly as I cannot hold a tune but I am a good organiser and I can play a part in this wonderful fund raising group called The Paphos Zingers Rock Choir.
